Phelps urges Anton to sign for SAFC
SUNDERLAND fans have been given the strongest sign yet Anton Ferdinand is going to sign.
The West Ham defender has been pictured leaving a London casino on Sunday night with, of all people multi-gold medal-winning US swimmer Michael Phelps.
As we already know, the nightlife and shopping up north is not quite on a par with that found in London, so Anton is in desperate need of a new hobby to keep him occupied when training has finished.
So, fear not, this latest casino visit is not an indication that Anton will not be able to survive away from the bright lights. Rather, good-old Pehlpsy has stepped in to advise him swimming is the best way to keep himself busy and what better a place to practice than the band-spanking Sunderland Aquatic Centre, situated immediately outside the Stadium of Light.
