Ricky Sbragia ducks out of blaming Howard
RICKY SBRAGIA refused to blame referee Howard Webb for the 'soft' penalty which cost Sunderland a historic derby double at St James's Park.
The Black Cats led through Djibril Cisse's 33rd-minute strike but Webb awarded Newcastle a controversial spot-kick midway through the second half when Steven Taylor's legs gave way underneath him inside the penalty area.
TV replays showed there was little, if any, contact between Taylor and Steed Malbranque - and that, in fact, Malbranque had a better case for being awarded the free-kick.
