Andy Reid hails Bruce's impact at Cats
STEVE Bruce has given Sunderland new direction, new purpose and a style of play better suited to prospering at places like Old Trafford, according to Andy Reid.
The Black Cats are eighth in the table, level on points with Arsenal and Aston Villa having played a game more. They have never had so many points - 12 - seven games into a Premier League season.
And while owner Ellis Short's millions have undoubtedly played their part, Reid believes the mindset Bruce has imposed on the squad is the most significant factor.
