Turner relishing defensive duel with Ridgewell
MICHAEL TURNER is ready for a defensive duel with his schoolboy team-mate Liam Ridgewell this weekend, with the Sunderland stopper determined to come out on top - again.
Turner and Ridgewell were both part of a successful Villacourt Rovers side which won silverware galore in London's youth leagues in the 1990s.
But tomorrow they will line up against each other for the second time this season as the Black Cats travel to the Midlands to take on Birmingham City.
